ARGUS ACOUSTIC GIG ANNOUNCED FOR DECEMBER FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE November 29, 2011 Athens, GA ---- ARGUS will perform The Community Arts Cafe Thursday, December 22nd, in downtown Winston-Salem, NC. Doors open at 8pm with a $5 cover charge. Erich Grant, Michael Newport and Jay Lowe will take the stage following the opener of Steven Hall, member of local band Small Town Gossip. The acoustic performance will be the first for ARGUS this year, as several band members have been juggling new additions to their families. "This is a fantastic time of year to perform for our hometown," said Lowe. "Downtown Winston-Salem will look fantastic lit up, and we'll be surrounded by family and some great friends." Each welcomed a new member to their respective families over the past two months. In late July, Erich and Jill Grant welcomed Fischer into the world. Jay and Courtney Lowe followed in August with the birth of Arabelle. Not to be out done, Greg and Sarah Lee rounded out the additions with Isaac in September. ARGUS MEMBERS EXPECTING FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE March 1, 2011 Athens, GA ---- Several members of rock band ARGUS are expecting additions to their families this year. Jill and Erich Grant were first to announce their impending parenthood. Due in late July, the Grant's will welcome a baby boy into the world. The next ARGUS guitarist? Possibly So. Several weeks after the Grants, Courtney and Jay Lowe discovered they would be expecting late August. They hope baby Lowe cooperates in early April so they can determine boy or girl. Sarah and Greg Lee beat everyone to the punch two years ago with the birth of Anna Lee. They will be following up their first beautiful creation with a second in early September. WINSTON-SALEM NATIVE SONS TO RETURN FOR ACOUSTIC GIG FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 11, 2010 Winston-Salem, NC ---- Rock band ARGUS will play Krankies Coffee in downtown Winston-Salem Saturday, June 19. Doors open at 8pm with the show to begin at 9. Following the successful April 24th concert at Tasty World (Athens, GA), the band looked for a music space in their home town of Winston-Salem. Lead guitarist Erich Grant secured the gig which will have a $5 cover at the door. "It is only right we give our home town a little love," said Grant. "Winston gave us our start in every facet of life, so it makes sense for us to do a show back in the Dash." ARGUS, who performed its very first concert in Winston-Salem, will perform an acoustic set. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FEBRUARY 15, 2010 Athens, GA ---- Rock band ARGUS will play Tasty World in downtown Athens on Saturday, April 24. The show will begin at 6:30pm and end at 8:30. With multiple weekend festivities taking place, including the annual Athens bike race Twilight Criterium, ARGUS secured the gig which will end shortly before the main Criterium race. There will be a minimal cover charge to be determined by the club. "We are pumped to once again play some tunes in the Classic City," said lead singer Jay Lowe. "It has been some time since we last took the stage in Athens, but it has been and will always be a very special place for all of us." ARGUS, who had some of its first shows in Athens, will be playing old standards and some covers. This will be the first time the full ARGUS band will play Tasty World.
