Holy crap, that made me just laugh my ass off.
The trip to Athens two weekends ago was solid. I was fortunate enough to spend time with some wonderful people, and I enjoyed tailgating before the game. That is something I certainly can't do much if, but I'm becoming more a fan each time. Doug, Courtney, Matt and Mel all made the weekend very enjoyable. I wish I could spend more fall Saturdays in Athens, but maybe some day I will. I was also fortunate enough to see Junior, Carla and Brian's baby boy. They had him dressed up in the Nike/UGA outfit I bought him back in May. I'm so impressed with myself. I can even dress babies in style!
We hosted our fourth home football game of the season this past weekend. The Dores pulled out win number two over D-II, Eastern Kentucky. It was an ugly game, however I was more concerned with the weather. Rain was on and off throughout the game, but the lightening did hold off. I've never had to clear a stadium, and I hope I don't ever have to. Although, this past weekend would have been the easiest stadium to clear ... a nice whooping 5,000 faithful were in attendance. Sad, very sad.
I plan to see many more football fans this weekend, as for only the second time in my life I will travel to Jacksonville for the Georgia/Florida game. I cannot WAIT. The game will be considerably more interesting since the Gators fired their head coach, Ron Zook, yesterday afternoon. But of course, in an effort to make sure the kids play out the rest of their season, Zook will coach the remainder of the season. Bastard. Just what the Dogs do NOT need. A bunch of punk kids playing extra hard for their now fired coach. I still think the Dogs pull it out: UGA 31, Florida 17.
Get this crap ... I can't vote! This is so frustrating. The first presidential election I could've voted in, '98, I lost my damn wallet. The second, '02, I was stuck at Spry Soccer Stadium preparing for the ACC soccer championship. This year? I swear to crap I sent my registration card in the mail early enough, but the Davidson County Board of Elections claims they didn't receive it. I was PISSED when I found this out yesterday. I won't say who I would've voted for, but rest assured I WILL vote in '06. Dear Lord, I'll be old enough to run for president by the time I vote for the position.
Lots to do before I head to Jacksonville Thursday. Adios kids.
